Unity tool development / 2026

7 Tools in 7 Days

A seven-day open-source challenge turning Unity tools I originally built for Fitness Crossing into public, documented utilities. Each tool started from a real production need, then went through cleanup, validation, documentation, and release as part of the sprint. I also wrote devlog articles for each tool, sharing where it came from, what changed while preparing it for open source, and how AI-assisted development shaped the process.

Day 01Parent From Bounds

A Unity Editor tool for creating parent objects at the center or bottom of selected objects’ combined bounds.

Day 02Separate Mesh Bodies

A Unity Editor tool for separating disconnected mesh geometry into individual mesh assets and scene objects.

Day 03Brick Wall Generator

A Unity Editor tool for generating customizable brick walls within the bounds of a scene object.

Day 04Particle System Context Previewer

A Unity Editor tool for previewing multiple Particle Systems across loaded scenes or Prefab Mode.

Day 05Object Layout Tool

A Unity Editor tool for arranging selected objects or child objects along a chosen axis.

Day 06DOTween Selection Animation Previewer

A Unity Editor tool for previewing multiple DOTween animations under a selected hierarchy without entering Play Mode.

Day 07Wave Object Distributor

A Unity component for distributing and animating child objects along a sine wave in Edit Mode and at runtime.

About / 07

I work best where ideas can become something testable.

I like hands-on development: building a first version, testing how it behaves, and improving it through iteration.

My background spans Unity game development, interactive research, teaching, and software development. I’m especially interested in gameplay systems, rapid prototyping, editor tools, VR/XR interaction, and practical AI-assisted workflows.
